Freshman U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC for short) set the online comics world a flutter recently by quoting Alan Moore’s canonical graphic novel Watchmen. Now, the youngest member in the history of the U.S. Congress will star in her own comic, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Freshman Force: New Party, Who Dis?, is set for release on May 15 from Devil’s Due Comics.

It’s a one-shot comic likely similar in style to Devil Due’s Barack the Barbarianwhich previously gave President Barack Obama the comicbook hero treatment. The marketing for the book is heavy with the talking points that have made AOC such a fast-rising politician, especially among younger people, marketing like, “Printed on recycled unpaid medical bills!*” or “Featuring More Creators Than There Are Payments Left on Your Student Loans!”

It’s all good fun…but also got-damn, our generation has a lot to deal with. The book is, of course, billed as a satire that takes aim at Washington.

Anyway, instead of reading on Twitter about AOC taking on the establishment, you can now get your AOC fix in fantastical comicbook format. There is more info on the comic’s webpage. Creators contributing to the one-shot include Tim Seeley, Hoyt Silva, Jill Thompson, Dean Haspiel, Pat Shand, and more. Partial proceeds from the comic are slated to go to RAICES and USO.
