Since Barack Obama is to 2009 comics what foil variants were to 1993 comics and black and white parodies were to 1988 comics, it is natural that more and more companies should jump on the bandwagon, like Devil’s Due with Barack the Barbarian, an ongoing parody written by Larry Hama. The artist is not named.

I’m… sold? yes. Yes! I’m sold! (I’ll be disappointed if Michelle is third female-banana to Hillary and Palin, but Clinton as a trickster god is kind of inspired, though it’ll depend on the execution.)
The only thing that could have made that Palin pin-up just a little better is if the Russian flag was waving in the background on top of one of the mountain peaks.

I love how they’re both holding their left fist in a clench, those two professional politicians depicted as Milnius characters. And the woman in the top panel has her left hand hidden altogether.
Larry did some good work on the GI JOE comic in the 1980s, especially the silent issue where Snake Eyes goes into Cobra Castle to rescue Scarlet and has to fight Nightshadow. Great panel of Scarlet pulling a bobbypin out of her hair. I wish Larry would draw comics again. I suspect Larry had a lot to do with Snake Eyes’ backstory.

April Fool’s Day is April 1st of every year and even if this was a lame joke, it’s even lamer to pull April Fool’s gags on days that aren’t April 1st.

i believe that Barack Obama is the president that the US needs in these hard times. I do not like the local and foreign policy of any Rebublican.
Yea, we need someone who has quadrupled the deficit in the last year. We need someone who helped fired 80 employees of a solar panel manufacturing facility just to put over 160 convicted felons in a prison to work doing the job for $4/hr. We need an admin that tells us unemployment is at 10% failing to mention it is really 22% if you count the people who have given up looking for a job out of frustration. We need a president who promised on nine different occasions on national television to have the health care negotiations televised on C-Span yet they tried to rush it through behind closed doors at 1am in the morning. Oh yea he’s the one we need. THANKS AMERICA!
