It’s a cold cold world we live in. Nathan Darrow, best known for playing Frank Underwood’s bodyguard Edward Meechum in Netflix’s House of Cards, has been cast to play Victor Fries in FOX’s Gotham. As per Deadline, Mr. Freeze’s storyline will follow Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero‘s plot, where Mr. Freeze is motivated to find a solution to his dying wife Nora’s illness. This eschews the currently canon backstory laid out for him in the New 52, where Mr. Freeze was never married at all and instead fell in love with a cryogenically frozen woman.
