After some delays caused by work on the oversized Walking Dead special, a new chapter of Barrier by Brian K. Vaughan, Marcos Martin and Muntsa Vicente  is up, with a pay what you wish model for digital downloads via their Panel Syndicate site.

Barrier, a follow-up to their stunning The Private Eye, is a SF tale about immigration. A bit timely there. Vaughan writes:

Our schedule got a little derailed by how long it took to finish our oversized WALKING DEAD special, but if you’ve had a chance to check out Marcos’ exquisitely detailed black-and-white art for that digital one-shot, I hope you’ll agree it was worth the wait. And I think this second issue of Barrier is even more beautiful (thanks in no small part to legendary colorist Muntsa Vicente), so please enjoy!
Vaughan and artist Fiona Staples took home a boatload of Harveys the other night, and sneaky BKV has departed from twitter as well, as his @heybkv handle is no longer extant. If he decides to  use his time making good comcis instead of reading Twitter, I have a feeling that may be a trendsetting move in 2017 and beyond.
