Fans of the legendary manga collective CLAMP have something spectacular to look forward to this November. Yen Press and Kodansha USA Publishing will each release one of two official CLAMP art books, KURO and SHIRO, both packed with more than 200 stunning illustrations pulled directly from CLAMP’s celebrated exhibition at The National Art Center in Tokyo.
Yen Press will publish KURO, while SHIRO will arrive from Kodansha. Together, these companion volumes celebrate over 30 years of CLAMP’s boundary-pushing artistry. Inside, fans will find elaborate full-color artwork from across the group’s storied catalog, including RG Veda, Tokyo Babylon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, and more.
In addition to manga and anime favorites, both art books include rarely seen gems pulled from magazine extras, video games, telephone cards, official merchandise, and special works created exclusively for the Tokyo exhibition and the art books themselves.
Formed in the 1980s, CLAMP is the iconic all-female creative team behind beloved classics like CLOVER, Chobits, and xxxHOLiC, all available from Kodansha, and Tokyo Babylon, which Yen Press began re-releasing in 2023. With KURO and SHIRO, readers can trace the evolution of CLAMP’s unmistakable style and storytelling through breathtaking visual history—a must-have for long-time fans and newcomers alike.
