WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. is taking webcomics beyond the page. The company announced the launch of Video Episodes, a new short-form video feature that transforms some of its most popular series into dynamic, watchable stories.
With motion, immersive sound, music, and real voice acting, Video Episodes allow fans to enjoy their favorite webcomics in a fresh way: by reading or watching. The feature was developed in collaboration with WEBTOON Creators, offering audiences a new level of visual storytelling.
Beginning today, fans can dive into 20 five-minute episodes from 14 WEBTOON Originals, including fan-favorites like The Mafia Nanny, Star Catcher, and Osora. More episodes and additional titles will roll out throughout 2025.
“Innovating to create new storytelling formats and experiences is part of our DNA at WEBTOON Entertainment,” said Yongsoo Kim, Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Global WEBTOON. “With Video Episodes, we’re making webcomics watchable, expanding how fans can enjoy WEBTOON series with a feature that can deepen engagement, help Creators reach more users, and deliver a new medium for amazing stories.”
