MANAGING EDITOR: Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, the Managing Editor will primarily oversee project management, schedule management, communication, and organization required to ensure that the company’s publishing projects are completed on-time according to the company’s high standards across both the Vault Comics and AETHON: Vault lines of books, as described below. The Managing Editor will also coordinate with the Editor-in-Chief and other members of the Editorial Department to support curation and acquisition of titles for the Vault Comics line of books. Additionally, the Managing Editor will coordinate with the company’s Sales & Marketing and Design & Production departments to facilitate successful design, production, and sales outcomes. Alongside other members of the Editorial Department, the Managing Editor will also assist in the creation of critical metadata for publications. Candidates should have significant prior professional experience managing and organizing creative projects. Preference may be given to candidates with prior success managing or coordinating comic books, graphic novels, books, and/or crowdfunding projects. As noted above, the responsibilities of the Managing Editor are principally project management and related communication, and the Managing Editor should expect to do less creative development or creative editorial work than might be typical in other editorial roles. The Managing Editor role is a mid-level, full time, salaried, fully remote position, with significant possibility of career advancement. ASSOCIATE EDITOR: Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, the Associate Editor will support or lead editing on those publications that are assigned by the Editor-in-Chief, primarily for the Vault Comics line of books, and secondarily for the AETHON: Vault line of books (imprints are described below). Project-level editorial responsibilities will include editorial review and oversight of creative development and execution, team building, internal and external communication, and coordination with other members of the Editorial Department to ensure projects are completed on time and according to the Company’s high standards. From time to time, the Associate Editor may also be assigned special projects that may sit outside the typical range of the Vault Comics or AETHON: Vault lines of books. The Associate Editor will spend a significant portion of their time communicating with creative teams to facilitate the development of the best possible publications. As such, clear, focused, and collegial communication skills are of paramount importance for this position. The Associate Editor will also coordinate with the Design and Production department to facilitate successful team building and talent sourcing, as well as successful design and production outcomes. The Associate Editor will also coordinate with the Editor-in-Chief and other members of the Editorial Department to support curation and acquisition of titles for the Vault Comics line of books. Alongside other members of the Editorial Department, the Associate Editor will also assist in the creation of critical metadata for publications. Candidates should have significant prior professional experience editing comics or graphic novels, as well as significant familiarity with the available pool of professional talent working in the comics and graphic novel categories. Preference may be given to candidates with prior success managing or coordinating crowdfunding projects. The Associate Editor role is a mid-level, full time, salaried, fully remote position, with significant possibility of career advancement. This is an extremely demanding position and only highly motivated candidates should apply. CROWDFUNDING DIRECTOR: Reporting to the CEO, the Crowdfunding Director will lead all aspects of crowdfunding campaigns across the Vault Comics and AETHON: Vault lines of books (imprints are described below.) The Crowdfunding Director will lead all campaign-related creative development, project management, schedule management, communication, coordination with internal Sales & Marketing department and external sales and marketing contractors, and any other organization required to ensure highly successful funding and execution of all crowdfunding campaigns. Compensation will be a combination of fixed and contingent compensation based on campaign performance. Crowdfunding projects will be selected from existing projects in development by senior leadership; in addition to this, the Crowdfunding Director will have the opportunity to curate and present additional opportunities or special projects to the senior leadership. The Crowdfunding Director will coordinate with the Editorial, Design & Production, and Sales & Marketing departments to facilitate successful outcomes for crowdfunding campaigns. Candidates should have demonstrated success managing or working on impactful crowdfunding campaigns that delivered excellent products. The Crowdfunding Director role is a mid-level, full time, salaried, fully remote position, with significant possibility of career advancement.
