V For Vendetta, the acclaimed adaptation of Alan Moore and David Lloyd‘s comic book directed by James McTeigue and produced by The Wachowskis, is headed back to theaters for a limited engagement to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The film is set to hit theaters on November 5th, 2026, distributed by Fathom Events, a company that works with major theater chains to arrange wide-release revival screenings and other niche theatrical events like concerts and Broadway shows.

“From its early days as a graphic novel and then a feature film, few properties have struck a chord with fans and been more thought-provoking societally than V for Vendetta,” said Fathom’s VP Studio Relations Tom Lucas. “Twenty years later, the movie still resonates, and Fathom is so pleased to bring it back to theatres next November with our partners at Warner Bros. and Saga Arts.”

The film, and teaser video, of course urge you to “remember the fifth of November,” but just in case you’re a bit worried you won’t, you can sign up for a mailing list that will give you the opportunity to be among the first to buy tickets when they go on sale next year.

V For Vendetta is one of the best-loved comics adaptations of all time, and the rare R-rated comic book movie that got solid reviews and a strong box office. Starring Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving in lead roles, the movie centers on a young woman who is being recruited into a revolutionary movement in a near-future dystopian Great Britain. The comic and movie have drawn comparison to other cautionary tales like 1984 and The Handmaid’s Tale.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis from Warner Bros. (note that Alan Moore, as is his custom, has requested not to be named in promotional material for the movie):
