When a comics publisher talks about a miniseries launching in a prestige format, we often think about some of the best material in comics. Landmark stories crafted by DC in the ‘80s including Batman: The Dark Knight debuted in this special thick format — the comic was so inspirational that other comics companies followed suit. More recently Valiant Entertainment launched their landmark mini The Valiant in the format, instilling that the comic was one of the most important series ever crafted by the company. Valiant is now dusting off the prestige format once again, but this time it’s for a new arc of a monthly series. Bloodshot Reborn’s second story-arc The Analogue Man written by Jeff Lemire (All-New Hawkeye) and drawn by Lewis LaRosa (Punisher) debuting in January with Bloodshot Reborn #10. The special format available for an extra dollar ($3.99) allows readers to experience the comic with no advertisements and read the issue with a special card-stock cover.

Jeff Lemire and Lewis LaRosa are throwing off sparks with each new page that comes in and we knew right away that nothing short of the acclaimed VALIANT PRESTIGE format would give THE ANALOG MAN the blockbuster treatment it deserves.”
The Analogue Man picks up in a future Los Angeles and see’s Bloodshot with outdated tech attempting to save the people of a small village. He’s holed up in the settlement with the femme fatale of the last story: Magic. A group of marauders arrive on the scene and Bloodshot must bring justice for the damage they have caused. In February the publisher is launching a special version of the comic called Bloodshot Reborn: The Analogue Man – Director’s Cut #1, featuring a behind-the-scenes look at author Jeff Lemire’s script and Lewis LaRosa’s artwork at 48-pages priced at $4.99. Valiant has an 8-page preview they included in a recent press release:
