Marvel’s new Ultimate Universe may be coming to a close in Ultimate Endgame, but its legacy will continue to be explored in the five-issue follow-up Reborn: Ultimate Impact, written by Chris Condon (Ultimate Wolverine), with art by Stefano Caselli (Ultimate Black Panther). Picking up from last year’s Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, the comic will reveal the fallout from Miles Morales’s decision to take the Maker’s Origin Boxes back to the main Marvel reality.

Miles Morales returned from the Ultimate Universe with a plan: safeguard the Origin Boxes – catalysts for the creation of new super heroes – before they fall into the wrong hands! But the secret is out as Miles’ battle over the boxes engulfs the entire Marvel Universe! Witness the creation of stunning and unforgettable new characters on both sides of a conflict that will shape the future of the 616!

Condon states, “I am so excited to be a part of this book and to be working with this fantastic team. To be able to play with the idea of these universes colliding in a truly unique and interesting way like this, and to have the opportunity to create new and lasting creations within them – both characters and settings – is a dream for any creator in this industry. I’m having so much fun working on this book with artist Stefano Caselli and Editor Tom Groneman. I hope that shines through when readers pick up their copies of what I think will be an exciting new piece of the Marvel Universe.”

The series will bridge the gap between Ultimate Endgame and this summer’s event series Armageddon (penned by Chip Zdarsky), which the origin boxes are set to play a major role in. The event is also being set up by Zdarsky and Caselli’s ongoing Captain America run, and Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon, a four-issue series by Zdarsky and Luca Maresca starting February 18. It comes during a lull for Miles, whose last ongoing ended with issue #42 this week, although the character will also co-star in Spider-Versity this April.

Issue #1 of Ultimate Impact will be released with a main cover by Ben Harvey on May 20. In the meantime, the new Ultimate Universe will conclude in April with Deniz Camp, Terry Dodson, and Jonas Scharf‘s Ultimate Endgame #5, and the Ultimate Universe Finale special, which Condon and Caselli will contribute to, along with every prior Earth-6160 creator.
