Warner Bros. Games has released a cutscene starring the Joker from LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, revealing Prince‘s “Partyman” will be featured in a recreation of the art gallery sequence from Tim Burton‘s 1989 Batman movie.

For reference, here’s the original scene from the movie with Jack Nicholson as the Joker, Kim Bassinger as Vicki Vale, and Michael Keaton as Batman:

“Partyman” was one of several tracks created for the film’s namesake album by Prince Rogers Nelson, who passed away almost a decade ago on April 21, 2016, aged 57. Prince’s estate is notoriously reticent about licensing his music, with major exceptions like the 100th episode of Black-ish from 2018, “Purple Rain,” and more recently, the series finale of Stranger Things. However, this won’t mark the first video game to feature his music, as the Purple One himself released a CD-ROM title, Prince Interactive, in 1994.

Additionally, IGN dropped a video interview with lead developer Jonathan Smith, showcasing Catwoman’s gameplay and more:

Created by longtime LEGO game developer Traveller’s Tales, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight reimagines the origin of the Caped Crusader with a story inspired by every Batman movie to date. It will be released on the PlayStation 5, Steam, Epic, and Xbox Series X/S on Friday, May 29, though players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will be able to play it earlier on May 26. A Nintendo Switch 2 release is also planned, and is available to wishlist on the platform now, though the date hasn’t been decided yet.

In the meantime, you can watch Prince’s videos for the song:
