20th Century Studios has announced Predator: Killer of Killers, an animated action-adventure film set in the Predator universe. It will premiere June 6, 2025, on Hulu.
“The anthology story follows three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge; a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession; and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause,” reads the official synopsis from The Walt Disney Company. But while all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent — the ultimate killer of killers.”
Predator: Killer of Killers is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and Josh Wassung. Trachtenberg is known for his previous work on Prey and 10 Cloverfield Lane, his TV directing credits in Season 3 of Black Mirror (Episode 2: “Playtest”), and the pilot of The Boys. Wassung has done visual work on War Horse, Ready Player One, and Prey.
Trachtnberg and Wassung’s Prey premiered on August 5, 2022, becoming Hulu’s No. 1 most-watched premiere, across film and television. The film was lauded for recreating the feeling of the original and its Comanche representation.
Third Floor did the animation and is serving as co-director. The story is by Trachtenberg and written by Micho Robert Rutare. The script is based on characters created by James Thomas and John Thomas. Meanwhile, Lawrence Gordon, James Thomas, John Thomas, and Stefan Grube serve as executive producers, and John Davis, Trachtenberg, Marc Toberoff, and Ben Rosenblatt are the producers.
Also announced to voice act are Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens, and The Abyss), Lindsay LaVanchy (The Mannequin and Initiation), Rick Gonzalez (Coach Carter, Old School, Reaper, and Roll Bounce), and Louis Ozawa (Predators, The Bourne Legacy, and Jack Ryan).

Fans can expect two Predator films this year!
This is the second of the two films teased back last year. “Next year will bring 2, yes 2, PREDATOR movies because Dan Trachtenberg made one of them in secret. And Fede Alvarez is making a deal for an ALIEN sequel. And…well, why don’t you just read this Q&A with 20th Century Studios boss Steve Asbell.”
“Trachtenberg has become the driving creative mind in the Predator universe today after helming Prey, the 2022 sleeper hit for Hulu that starred Amber Midthunder as an 18th-century Comanche woman who comes face-to-face with a Predator. After Prey became a success, Dan [Trachtenberg] came back and said he didn’t want to do Prey 2,” Asbell said. “And we’re like, ‘What do you want to do?” And he rattled off a bunch of ideas that were really crazy but really cool. We’ve actually done two of them.”
Meanwhile, Trachtenberg has the live-action Predator: Badlands arriving in theaters on [November 7, 2025].” Asbell told THR last year.
