​Playstation Studios, Arc System Works and Marvel Games upcoming Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, a 4v4 action fighting game, is set for release for PS5 and PC on August 6. The highly anticipated game was teased during the PlayStation State of Play February 2026 broadcast and revealed a new team of X-Men characters to be added to the game.

Storm, voiced by Mara Junot, Magik, voiced by Jesse Vilinsky, Wolverine, voiced by Steve Blum, and Danger, voiced by Judy Alice Lee, took center stage as The Unbreakable X-Men, a new team added to the game and highlighted the tag-based mechanics in a new trailer.

MARVEL Tōkon Arc System Works is developing the game, the makers of Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball Fighter Z. Marvel fans can expect fast pace action and high scoring combos. Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Dr. Doom, Storm, Star Lord, Ghost Rider, and Ms. Marvel have been previously confirmed as playable characters with a new anime-inspired design. The new trailer confirms there will be twenty Marvel characters at launch, with plans to add four more in the game’s first year.
​In a PlayStation Blog post, Takeshi Yamanaka, producer of Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, announced that the game will have an episode mode with a “story presented as motion comics, centered around manga illustrated by celebrated artists that blends American comics and Japanese manga into a new form of storytelling adapted for a modern video game format. We have collaborated with a renowned writer from the original Marvel comics to help build the world and write the scenario.” and will feature full voice acting across 10 languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin)

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls launches on August 6 on PS5 and PC. Pre-orders will open on February 19.
