Fans of Cody Ziglar’s take on Miles Morales won’t have to wait much longer for more comics to hold in their hands. Marvel announced today that Ziglar and Alessandro Miracolo’s Astonishing Miles Morales: Spider-Man will be receiving its first-ever physical printing.
Though the printing is new, astute observers may recognize the title as one of Marvel’s previously digital-only offerings through Marvel Unlimited. This time around, the House of Ideas is pushing the comic into print for the very first time. Astonishing Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1 is set to collect all six Infinity Comics releases in a one-shot.
“One thing that I really enjoy about the possibilities of ASTONISHING MILES MORALES: SPIDER-MAN is that it lets us explore parts of Miles that I didn’t have room to cover in the main book: mostly his school life and his family life—things that I really enjoy writing, but because the nature of the beast, I wasn’t able to dive in them into them as fully as I would like,” Ziglar previously told Marvel.com when the digital comic first debuted last year. “It’s nice being able to check in on Miles’ school life and personal life and fill out areas that I thought were lacking in the main book.”
Ziglar, an alumnus of Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, has been the primary writer for Miles for the past three years and some change. His writing work on Miles Morales: Spider-Man first set forth in the debut of a new volume in December 2022. He remains the series’ writer three years and 42 issues later.
Ziglar, Miracolo, Ig Guara, and Cory Petit share credits on the interiors. Taurin Clarke has drawn a new, never-before-seen cover for the print version.
Astonishing Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1 is currently set to hit the shelves at your local comic shop on May 6th.
