Marvel Comics has announced Sue Storm/the Invisible Woman’s villainous alter-ego, Malice, Mistress of Hate, is making a comeback in December’s Fantastic Four #6. The new arc of Ryan North and Humberto Ramos‘s run, titled “The Invincible Woman,” will see the First Family encounter an alternate universe variant of Sue who succumbed to her demons. Check out the newly revealed synopsis and variant cover for the issue by Leirix below:

“GET SUE STORM. SO SAYS GALACTUS!” When a message hidden in the structure of reality is decoded, Sue Storm becomes the most wanted super hero in the universe. And that makes both her – and planet Earth – a target for invasion! The Fantastic Four venture into space to answer Galactus’ call, and together, they’ll discover the terrifying mystery of the INVINCIBLE WOMAN, forcing Sue to confront possibilities of her powers that she never dared to imagine! Meanwhile, back on Earth, the junior Fantastic Four step up in the main team’s absence!
North states, “Sue has played a lot of roles over her lifetime, and I think she’s a really fascinating character. She’s smart, she’s funny, and she’s determined. The Invincible Woman isn’t our Sue Storm — and our Sue Storm isn’t going anywhere — but she is a version of her that had different things happen over the course of her life. Of course, we’ve seen a similar situation with The Maker, but the true danger of the Fantastic Four was never an evil Reed Richards — it’s an unchained Susan Storm.”
Introduced by John Byrne and Jerry Ordway in 1985’s Fantastic Four #280, Malice manifested following an attack by a version of the Hate-Monger on Sue’s psyche, and made sporadic appearances, trying to claim control of her mind, until she was finally exorcized in 1994. The character, and her risqué outfit, gained greater notoriety after she was included as a skin for Sue in Marvel Rivals this year, even leading The Fantastic Four: First Steps star Vanessa Kirby to joke she’ll wear the costume in the sequel.
As such, Fantastic Four #6 will include a code for Rivals players to unlock new graffiti of Malice they can spray in-game. The book comes out December 3, and you can find more information about it in Marvel’s December 2025 solicitations; you can also check out new variant covers, artwork, and a first look at issues #7 and #8 (both out in the new year) below. Issue #4 of North’s relaunched run, appropriately enough, will be released in the meantime on October 22.
