Zero Zero Entertainment has launched a Kickstarter campaign for a vinyl-only audio drama adaptation of Junji Ito’s “In Old Records,” narrated in English by Poppy and in Japanese by Shoko Nakagawa.

Adapted by Ryan Cady for audio, “In Old Records” tells the story of the long-lost record of singer Paula Bell’s final song and the curse that befalls anyone who listens to it.

Check out the trailer for the Kickstarter below.

The “In Old Records” Kickstarter campaign features standard vinyl, a backer-exclusive Blood Splatter variant, a limited edition Ghost Blue variant (500 copies), and a Glow-in-the-Dark variant (100 copies), the latter two editions signed by Poppy.

Backers can also purchase a vinyl single of “The Last Song of Paula Bell” as an add-on—if they want to risk the curse.

Ito’s short story, “In Old Records,” is the fourth chapter of House of the Marionettes, the tenth volume of the Horror World of Junji Ito collection published in Japan in 1997. The story was published in English in Viz Media’s 2017 collection Shiver: Junji Ito Collected Stories under the title “Used Record.” At time of writing, it’s available to read for free on the Viz website.

Zero Zero’s In Old Records vinyl audio drama is available now via Kickstarter.
