Titan Manga revealed earlier this year that it’s publishing Hi Score Girl creator Rensuke Oshikiri‘s science fiction adventure, Geniearth, in English. The first volume will be available in bookstores and comic shops, as well as on digital platforms, on April 14, 2026, and is now available for pre-order for $12.99.
Known for his dark, action-packed storytelling in Kurozuka and Tokyo Zombie, Oshikiri launched Geniearth in September 2021 in Akita Shoten‘s Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine, and the series ran until July 2022. The series blends action and social commentary to explore humanity’s struggle for power. The first volume of the series introduces readers to the story’s two factions engaged in a struggle for survival.
Titan Manga’s official description of Geniearth, Vol. 1, reads:
This gripping manga plunges you into a violent civil war sparked by genetic evolution – a fight for survival that challenges the very essence of humanity’s future.

p style=”padding-left: 40px”> In a world divided by power, Geniearth takes you on a high-stakes, sci-fi adventure where society is torn apart by a new genetic phenomenon. A gene has surfaced, granting one in every thousand people incredible abilities, and the “New Humans” — or “Geniuses” — declare themselves superior to “Old Humans.” Fuwa Masaru, a Genius, leads a violent uprising, sparking a brutal civil war that threatens to obliterate the planet. Amid the chaos, a mysterious “Old Human” with an enigmatic aura appears—potentially the only hope to end the conflict and save the world.
Oshikiri is known for the manga series Hi Score Girl, which was published in Square Enix‘s magazine Monthly Big Gangan from 2010 to 2018, before quickly receiving an English-language adaptation of the series from the publisher, as well. In July 2018, an anime adaptation premiered in Japan, with Netflix airing the series outside Japan in December 2018. In 2019, Oshikiri launched the manga’s spinoff, Hi Score Girl DASH, in Big Gangan, which follows the character Koharu Hidaka, an approximately 30-year-old middle school teacher.
