Recently Clover Press has announced a second volume in its The DC Art of… series, this time featuring artist Bruno Redondo and his work on titles like Nightwing, Injustice, Justice League, and more. Today, The Beat can exclusively reveal an additional volume to be available as a Kickstarter campaign add-on, The DC Art of Bruno Redondo Nightwing Covers.
“I have always been an avid fan of art books from the artists I admire,” said Redondo. “I consider them a great chance to learn and look behind the curtain of their creative process. So having the opportunity to share my own art book is quite a responsibility. I’m trying to be as open as possible to it and build a new bridge of communication through this, as a complement to my comic books. I hope you enjoy it, as well as some of the surprises we are working on!”
The DC Art of Bruno Redondo Nightwing Covers will collect all of Redondo’s covers from his 41-issue run as artist on the series, along with behind-the-scenes extras. The book will be available with a unique Kickstarter-exclusive slipcase, cut in the shape of Nightwing and Batman’s profiles. You can see the designs for the slipcase, as well as what the book will look like in the case, below.
“I’ve known Bruno since his days on Injustice, and knew he had an amazing career ahead of him,” said Clover Press publisher Hank Kanalz. “I’m so proud of the extent to which he has risen, including multiple Eisners and being on the top of many writers’ request lists. And I think he’s just getting started!”
Additional Kickstarter rewards include rare sketches and commissions, a fold-out edition of Nightwing #87, stickers, posters, and more.
