Dynamite has announced a new line of Compact Edition releases, offering 5.5 by 8.5 inch reprints of classic titles for just $9.99. The first title on offer will be a reprint of Jim Zub and Andrew Huerta‘s 2012 fantasy series Pathfinder: Dark Waters Rising, which marked the first comic based on the tabletop role-playing game. It will be released in June.

The warrior Valeros trusts in his sword skills and his companions, which include the enigmatic sorceress Seoni, the clever elven rogue Merisiel, the formidable wizard Ezren, the seasoned dwarven ranger Harsk, and the brave cleric Kyra. However, this group of adventurers is unprepared for the threats that lie in wait. The fragmented goblin tribes of Varisia are coming together in unprecedented ways.
The 224-page book will retain the ten-page story “The Last Mosswood Goblin,” and over 30 pages of worldbuilding documents for readers and Pathfinder players alike. Both bonus material were included in previous collections of the series. Dynamite did not announce further releases in the format, telling fans “to stay tuned for news on future volumes.”
In more Dynamite news today, the publisher announced Vampirella Archives Vol. 6 will get a paperback release in June. The book reprints issues #36-42 of the Vampirella magazine, originally published by Warren Publishing from 1974 to 1975. This era marked the conclusion of writer Flaxman Loew‘s run, and features art by Jose Gonzalez, Leopold Sanchez, Jose Ortiz, Archie Goodwin (who illustrated issue #37, “She Who Waits!,” with Gonzalez), and Esteban Maroto. Other creators include Doug Moench, Martin Pasko, Steve Skeates, Rafael Auraleon, Jose Bea, Fernando Fernandez, Luis Bermejo, and Paul Neary.
