§ Mike Mignola will team up with writer/artist Rachel “Rae” Allen Everett (Boris Karloff’s Gold Key Mysteries) on Carmen Red Claw: Belly of the Beast, a four-part western set in the Hellboy Universe. Building on Lobster Johnson lore, the series will introduce readers to Carmen Red Claw, a shapeshifting gunslinger, and descendant of the 18th century’s El Bogavante, as she investigates a supposedly haunted ranch in the New Mexico territory in the 1870s. “Something is killing the cattle in the area, and it’s up to Carmen to find out whether there’s a beast to blame, or if humans are the real monsters.” Issue #1 will be released by Dark Horse on January 7.

§ Marvel released solicits for December’s issues of X-Men: Age of Revelation, confirming the event will conclude with Age of Revelation Finale (by Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman) on December 31. Age of Revelation, which revolves around the New Mutant Doug Ramsey/Cypher after becoming Apocalypse’s heir apparent, will begin with an Overture issue by the same creative team on October 1. § Maverick revealed Scoop: Deep Fake, the fourth and final volume of Richard Ashley Hamilton and Pablo Andres‘s paranormal young adult series, will be released on January 13. The finale will see kid journalist Sophie Cooper face off against a doppelgänger, who is “spouting fake news and debunking all that the real Sophie has worked so hard to achieve.” The synopsis continues, asking, “Will she ever prove her father’s innocence? Would anyone believe her anyway? Or have Sophie’s investigations only put a giant target on her family, her friends, and that which she values above all else — the truth?”

§ Via Variety, James Gunn confirmed on Howard Stern‘s SiriusXM radio show that Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow will see the hero and Lex Luthor “work together to a certain degree against a much, much bigger threat. It’s more complicated than that but that’s a big part of it. It’s as much a Lex movie as it is a Superman movie.” Man of Tomorrow, starring David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult, will start filming in April for a release on July 9, 2027, and we imagine betting on the identity of the “bigger threat” is already underway.

§ Deadline reports Aimee Garcia has been cast in a regular role on The Walking Dead: Dead City. She will play Renata, “a disarmingly charming leader with a natural ability to win people over with her optimism and convivial personality.” Dead City, a spin-off starring Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, wrapped up season two on June 22, 2025, and will begin rolling cameras on season three sometime this fall. Season three of Daryl Dixon, meanwhile, is airing Sunday nights on AMC.

§ Via ComicBook, The Mask will receive a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release from Arrow Video on November 11. The 1994 classic, starring Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz, has received a new transfer approved by director Chuck Russell, and new bonus material, including an interview with Mike Richardson and screenwriters Mike Werb & Mark Verheiden. The Mask was created by Richardson in 1982, and most recently starred in the 2019 Dark Horse series I Pledge Allegiance to the Mask!
