AEW (All Elite Wrestling) has announced DC x AEW, a two-issue crossover event with DC Comics, written by Steve Orlando and penciled by Travis Mercer (Absolute Power: Super Son). The book, which will see DC and AEW’s most prominent headliners team up to “recover the Big Galactic Belt and prevent a cosmic catastrophe,” will debut with “a special preview edition” at this month’s New York Comic Con (October 9-11).

The series will be available from comics shops, ShopAEW.com, and at select live AEW events in 2026. It will be the subject of two panels at NYCC:
Friday, October 10 at 5 p.m. ET – Javits Center, Room 409: AEW CEO, GM and Head of Creative Tony Khan will join former AEW Champion Jon Moxley, former AEW Champion Swerve Strickland, “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy, Willow Nightingale, with prolific comic writer Steve Orlando, artist Travis Mercer and moderator Frankie Smith, who will come together for a unique panel conversation, “Heroes, Villains, Spaces In-Between: Pro Wrestling and Comic Storytelling.” The discussion will look at where the worlds of wrestling and comics converge within AEW.
Saturday, October 11 at 3 p.m. ET – Javits Center, DC Comics Booth #4365: Meet AEW stars Jon Moxley, Willow Nightingale, Swerve Strickland and Orange Cassidy, alongside DC’s Steve Orlando, Lucas Meyer and Travis Mercer for a special signing of the preview comic. Wristbands for this signing will be available on Saturday morning in the DC Booth between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. ET.
The series’ preview issue will coincide with the first in DC’s latest crossover event, DC K.O., due out October 8. As such, various titles for the event will feature DC x AEW variant covers, featuring wrestlers and superheroes pitted against each other. The collaboration will culminate in AEW’s annual event, Full Gear, which DC will sponsor this year: the pay-per-view event, held live at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, will be available to watch on HBO Max on Saturday, November 22.
