Prescription Paradise
Creators: Anthony Stokes (Writer), Marco Perguini (Illustrator)
Goal: $3,000
End Date: July 18
Goodies: Get the digital copy for $10, the main cover for $24, the gambone variant for $30, or at higher tiers get the catchup bundle and past projects!
A re-animated drug dealer works his way up the ranks of a criminal drug syndicate to find the man who killed him in this gritty revenge story that’s The Wire meets The Walking Dead.
Prescription Paradise is Stokes’ form of response to the opioid epidemic. What would you do if you got a second chance to seek revenge on those who took your life? In this way, a reader could imagine themselves in the protagonist’s shoes. You would have to be in a specific mindset for it, maybe the reader was affected by drugs in some way, a lost family member, an addiction survivor, maybe even having experienced what it looks like firsthand. The art from Perguini is absolutely beautiful, and with such a compelling story, we have to recommend this comic.
Dreamer
Creators: Jorge Salcedo (Writer/Artist)
Goal: $4,000
End Date: August 7
Goodies: Get the digital copy for $12, the paperback trade for $30, cover b for $35, cover c for $25, or at higher tiers get signed copies for $50, art prints, and much more.
Can dreaming be a superpower? Do dreams hold the key to prevent future events? Meet Daniel, a local gang member who has been given the wisdom and knowledge to interpret dreams. Troubled by a set of visions, he is forced to confront his true potential, unlocking a sight of spiritual warfare hidden in plain sight.
Dreamer caught my eye because of its beautiful cover, although the cover is phenomenal what made me explore the project was because of the heavy influence of LA art. Sleepz taught themselves art growing up in LA his inspiration coming from the pages of comic books. That takes us back to this project, to Daniel and his ability, his own superpower to interpret dreams. Forced to face his true potential, to overcome his burdens, his struggles, in the way the Sleepz did growing up, by stepping into the shoes of a superhero. Don’t ignore this project, there might be much more to this project than you think.
Die Parrots und der Stab der Toten
Creators: Voodoocomix
Goal: July 16
End Date: July 16
Goodies: Get the volume for $11 and at higher tiers print bundles!
The head of the pirate Blackbeard, who was killed in the war 30 years ago, has been stolen. The suspect is a fascist pirate gang who have nothing else in mind than to bring him back to life and bring terror and violence to the world again. But the mammalian government still has an ace up its sleeve.
Captain Rooster “Hardboiled” Rackham and his band of crazy weirdos. Who spin off into one crazy adventure after another with their old Parrot propeller plane.
Die Parrots, as you will notice, is in German, but as you begin to explore the page you see how much work has gone into the project that you may just want to gloss over the language barrier. For one thing, the crazy premise is enough to interest anyone, sending out a rooster commando to bring down a fascist pirate gang already sounds like fun. Best part is the art is fantastic and seeing the previews on the Kickstarter page you immediately get the feeling of a zine and I think that is one of the best parts of this comic. It makes it unique and something that I think any fan of comics will want to check out.
A Haunting on Mars
Creators: Zack Chapman (Co-Writer/Co-Creator), Ruairí Coleman (co-creator/illustrator)
Goal: $2,900
End Date: August 8
Goodies: Get all three digital copies for $15, the standard covers for $25, all variant covers for $33, or at higher tiers get the metal covers and past projects!
A cyberpunk ghost story: A dangerous hacker is captured and forced on a suicide mission into a haunted house on Mars.
A Haunting on Mars is trying to blend 4 different kinds of horror genres together while keeping its cyberpunk setting. Following a group of mercenaries sent by their “corpo” bosses, they only descend farther and farther into insanity. That premise had us at the beat interested. To follow that up with some pretty bloody and unnerving preview pages its pretty clear to see why more than 130 backers have latched onto this campaign. They are well on their way to reaching goal and any sci-fi horror fan will want to check this out.
Amongst the Stars
Creators: Band of Bards Comics
Goal: $6,500

Goodies: Get the digital copy for $15, the main cover for $25, cover b for $25, $30 for cover c, or at higher tiers get virgin covers, glow-in-the-dark cover, and much more.

The project is just about to hit the goal with 2 days still left in the campaign, don’t miss out on this project!
Black Phantom & Kid Squid

Goodies: Get the main book bundle for $25, a sketchcard for $40, a standee bundle for $60, or at higher tiers get a black phantom head cover sketch and more!
I’m sure many of you have ideas you’ve wanted to make and put out into the world. It’s not easy. I created the Black Phantom as a teen. So here it is, it’s taken me years to get here. I hope you enjoy them.
I now present you with 60 pages of action-packed fun featuring Black Phantom & Kid Squid in stand-alone stories that are complete and ready for you.
Black Phantom and Kid Squid only had a goal of $750, for only $25 you get 60 pages of an amazingly drawn action-packed comic of Townsend’s own creation. The black Phantom in a black and white greyscale and Kid Squid in a green hue both of which seem to jump out of the page at readers. These comics are great and something that 30 backers have already made a reality. We would be remiss to not mention this fantastic project, make sure to check it out you won’t regret it.
GodPunk

Connor Thorne aka GodPunk returns to face new villains and mysteries inspired by Greek mythology and tokusatsu henshin heroes!
Kamen Rider meets Greek mythology—saying we were intrigued would be an understatement. To our surprise, this is the second outing of GodPunk, and it’s well on its way to meeting its goal, with both past and new fans showing their support for the project. GodPunk is powered by the Greek god of cicadas, Tithonus, perfectly fitting the beetle prerequisite for a Kamen Rider. With Lee’s writing and Pacholke’s great art, this comic already looks like a lot of fun. If you’re a fan of tokusatsu henshin heroes or Greek mythology, don’t miss out on this project!
