AnimeJapan 2026 will take over the East Exhibition Halls of Tokyo Big Sight at the end of March, and this year’s event is bigger than ever. Since its debut in 2014, AJ has grown to host more than 120 exhibitors and four stages boasting some of the biggest names in anime.
The festival shared a kickoff event on YouTube over the weekend, revealing all of the details for this year’s event, including the announcement that Ambassadors Sakurazaka46 will return as AnimeJapan 2026 Ambassadors following their debut in the role at last year’s show.
This year’s stages will feature Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and more. The full timetable is available on the AnimeJapan website, and the festival also released a promotional graphic listing just some of the brands and properties that will hit its four stages during the event.
In addition to the stage lineup, AnimeJapan 2026 will feature exclusive merchandise, a Production Work’s Gallery, a food park, a Digital Stamprally, and a fully-equipped cosplayer area.
Tickets are on sale from now until February 24 at 9:59 a.m. EST (11:59 p.m. JST). Tickets are ¥2,500 (tax included) per day (about $16 USD) for adults, with free admission for children under 12. Anyone looking to see stage events will need to purchase a stage lottery ticket, which includes kids.
There is no cost difference between tickets with and without the stage lottery, but same-day tickets are more expensive at ¥2,800 (about $18 USD).
AnimeJapan 2026 is open to the public on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, including Family Anime Fest 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. JST. AJ Business Days are Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, March 31.
