Japanese anime retail giant animate will launch its first-ever store in France with the opening of the animate Paris POP UP store on July 1, 2025. The temporary shop marks a major milestone in the company’s international expansion and brings one of Japan’s most beloved anime retailers to the heart of Paris.

Known for its vast selection of anime, manga, and game-related merchandise, animate operates 125 stores across Japan and has steadily grown its global footprint with locations in cities such as Taipei, Taichung, Bangkok, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou. Now, Paris joins the list as the first European city to welcome an animate store.

The animate Paris POP UP store will be located at Maison Wa Sainte-Anne (12 Rue Sainte-Anne, 75001 Paris), just a 3-minute walk from Pyramides Metro Station and 5 minutes from Opéra Station, making it easily accessible for locals and tourists alike.

Shoppers can expect a curated selection of goods that reflect both France’s most popular series and newly released titles straight from Japan. With a strong fanbase already established in Europe, the Paris location is anticipated to draw enthusiastic anime and manga lovers eager to browse official merchandise previously hard to access locally.
