With the final installment of Valiant’s Divinity mini-series shipping in stores today, the publisher has announced that the marquee hero is going to be relaunching in another mini-series. Divinity II will feature the same creative team of Matt Kindt and Trevor Hairsine as the two continue to flesh out the story of Divinity, a hero living in the Soviet Union that goes on a mission to space and returns to Earth with God-like powers.

Returning to the pages of Divinity is the excellent cover artwork of Jelena Kevic-Djurdjevic, who is teaming up with Tom Muller’s excellent cover design process to give some truly stunning comics work. The first series of Divinity was one of Valiant’s strongest over the past publishing year, and culminated in a battle between Divinity and Valiant’s own faux Avengers team known only as Unity. The next mini isn’t shipping till April which gives Valiant a chance to collect the previous series into a trade paperback in July. At $10 and 112 pages Valiant is looking to continue to interest readers in the saga of Divinity with a discounted value. This series is also set to have some large ramifications for the Valiant Universe as a whole:
