Last month, DC Comics solicited the September 2016 debut of a new Doom Patrol #1, scripted by Umbrella Academy writer Gerard Way and illustrated by relative newcomer Nick Derington. The release of the issue kicks off the Young Animals imprint, which is being spearheaded by Way and looks to be the successor to DC’s Vertigo line.
Today, a slightly truncated version of the DC October 2016 solicits hit the web. It contains cover images and summaries for several other titles coming from the Young Animals line, including Cave Carson Has a Cybernetic Eye #1 and Shade, the Changing Girl #1.

What happened to Larry Trainor? The hero known as Negative Man is still out there, but he’s not exactly the same guy he was back when Doom Patrol was still together. Like a Russian doll, there is man inside the man, and who knows how many other men inside of them, with the guy on top possessing a mind for mischief that incites violence.
Meanwhile, Casey has started rebuilding Robotman, even though she still doesn’t know exactly how Cliff Steele ended up crossing her path in the first place.
