Dark Horse Comics’s library of Comixology Originals series brought to print continues to grow. The two publishers have announced that Youth Volume 2, the second installment of the series from writer Curt Pires, artist Alex Diotto, colorist Dee Cunniffe, and letterer Micah Myers, will get a print collection early next year. The trade paperback will collect issues 1-4 of the digital series.
Here’s how Comixology and Dark Horse describe Youth Volume 2:
Six months have passed since the events of the first story. Some of the kids are missing. Some of the kids are dead. Some of the kids are trying to do better. One thing is for certain: they’re not the only ones with powers anymore. A bold expansion to the smash hit first story, YOUTH Volume 2 continues with the core cast and introduces new characters from all across the globe.
Youth Volume 2 is the latest Dark Horse Comics release for writer Curt Pires. In addition to the first print volume of Youth, Pires has also written series including Wyrd (with artist Antonio Fuso) and Pop (with artist Jason Copland) for the publisher. Pires also teamed with Fuso for another Comixology Originals series, Lost Falls, as well as with artist Sunando C for the digital series Memoria. Print releases for those two titles have yet to be announced.
Dark Horse has released a number of Comixology Originals digital titles in print since the two publishers announced a deal back in 2020. Recently-released print editions of Comixology titles from Dark Horse include Jeff Lemire & Jock‘s Snow Angels, Chip Zdarsky & Jason Loo‘s The All-Nighter, and Kel McDonald & Tyler Crook‘s The Stone King, among others. A second volume of Snow Angels is also due out later this month, along with print editions of collections of Greg Lockard & Tim Fish‘s Liebestrasse, Frank J. Barbiere, Arris Quinones, & Ruairi Coleman‘s Astonishing Times, and more.
With a cover price of $19.99, the 128-page print collection of Youth Volume 2 from Dark Horse Books is due out in stores on Tuesday, January 24th, 2023. The book is available for preorder from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and your local comic shop now.
