And more notes people sent to us:
§ Michael Aushenker writes:

Writer Michael Aushenker and artist Rafael Navarro will be at the WildCard Ink (Gumby Comics) booth # 724 promoting the new GUMBY’S GANG series, with issue # 1 starring POKEY. It’s a 24-page, full-color all-ages book. Michael will also be signing copies of his own CARTOON FLOPHOUSE humor comics, and Rafael will be signing copies of his latest SONAMBULO luchador detective comics.

§ Miriam Libnicki (Jobnik!) writes:

* I’m at wondercon in san francisco tomorrow through sunday, artists alley table 38. please come by if you’re in the area! i’ve stocked up on t-shirts, magnets, books & essays for the year, & wondercon will be the premier of…

* The brand new drawn essay, jewish memoir goes pow! zap! oy! which was created for the anthology the jewish graphic novel: critical approaches (of which i will also have a very limited amount to sell). it’s my longest, most wordy, & most nudiful essay yet!

§ Woah Comics will be returning to WonderCon (Booth SP-15) and are bringing their four mini-comics with them. In pages of these books readers will find monsters, heroes, and simple people with big dreams or take a dangerous psychedelic journey through the old west. At the booth will be several San Francisco locals: writer Adam Farrar, artists David Rodriguez and James Wilson and the editor Eric Weiner.

§ Batton Lash and Jackie Estrada will be at the Exhibit A Press booth (#726).

Look for them next to Gumby and across from the CBLDF. Fans in search of back issues of “Supernatural Law” will be in luck–Exhibit A is having a “Back Issue Blowout,” with all issues on hand priced at $2 each. Exhibit A is also running specials on trade paperback collections and T-shirts. And while they last, Batton will have some of his original “monster mini-portraits” for sale–one-of-a-kind hand painted on small canvases. Batton and Jackie will also be part of WonderCon programming, appearing on the Sunday “Comic Book Couples” panel:

12:30-1:30 Comic Book Couples— Lois and Clark. Barry and Iris. Peter and Mary Jane (well…not anymore). The real story about comic book couples is in the real life team-up of comics lovers and creators. Couples Brian Azzarello and Jill Thompson, Wendy Pini and Richard Pini, Trina Robbins and Steve Leialoha, and Batton Lash and Jackie Estrada talk with moderator couple Andrew Farago and Shaenon Garrity about comics, love, and their love of comics. Room 236/238

§ Asylum Press sets up ship at Wondercon to spread the insanity.

Frank Forte will be present to sign books and do sketches. Elizabeth J. Musgrave will be on hand to signed issue #1 of her new graphic Novel Farmhouse, illustrated by Szymon (Zombie Cop) Kudranski. To see more of the Asylum Press line up visit www.asylumpress.com or both # 414 at the show.

They will have the entire catalog featuring Warlash:Dark Noir, The Asylum of Horrors, The Bomb, The Vampire Verses, Hex of the Wicked Witch, Billy Boy, Satan’s Circus of Hell, DTOX and others available for purchase at their booth. In addition get the latest in hot babes and cold flesh as Asylum Press will also be carrying the latest Girls and Corpses magazines. Unfamiliar with the Girls and Corpses magazine? 1. I so want to there right now – but alas – I begin my move to Brentwood this week.

If I’m going to move up in the world – I gotta make sacrifices.

    Have fun everyone!
