The very first Ringo Award nominations are out

1

The Ringo Awards are a new comic book industry award that s chosen by fans and pros and the first noms are out.  The process of getting the nominations hasn’t been entirely spelled out, but a pro jury – Jamar Nicholas, John Haines, Hannah Means-Shannon, Jose Villarubia and Chris Powell – chose some, and a FAN vote chose others. Thus, the final ballot is a mix of The Usual Suspects and little known obscurities that would puzzle even Harvey ballot voters – Alan Tudyk???

The winners will be chosen by a vote of INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS only. You can cast your ballot here.    The winnes will be announced at a ceremony at the Baltimore Comic-Con, Saturday, September 23, 2017. Voting closes August 16th.

The Ringos are named after Mike Wieringo, who passed away in 2007 after working on The FlashAdventures of SupermanBatman, and Robin, Marvel Comics’ Fantastic FourFriendly Neighborhood Spider-ManSensational Spider-Man, and Rogue, and his co-creation Tellos.

And the nominees are!
