This week Dark Horse Comics will release The Collector: Unit 731 #3. The penultimate issue of the horror series comes from writers Will Conrad and Rod Monteiro, artist Conrad, colorist Marco Lesko, and letterers Richard Starkings and Comicraft’s Jimmy Betancourt. Today The Beat is pleased to present an exclusive preview of the issue.

Here’s how Dark Horse describes The Collector: Unit 731 #3:

James should be dead . . . and Dr. Sadao Shuzen is eager to get the inside scoop and see just what’s keeping him alive. But there are Nazi officers on site putting the doctor, prisoners, and their guards all on edge. With vivisection in his near future, escape might be James’s only way out–if he doesn’t want to leave in a body bag.

The Collector is Will Conrad’s latest work for Dark Horse Comics, and his first work for the publisher as a writer. His previous Dark Horse credits include artwork for books like SerenityAngel & Faith: Season 10 and Kull. It’s the first Dark Horse work for Rod Monteiro, and the writer’s first collaboration with Conrad.

Check out the exclusive preview of The Collector: Unit 731 #3 below. The second-to-last issue of the series arrives in stores and digitally this Wednesday, June 22nd.
