Studio Coffee Run 6/8/12: Prometheus, Dredd, Arrow, etc.

Behold and look upon this Prometheus IMAX poster to the left (Image via Shocktillyoudrop). Then look upon the last of these Prometheus promo clips in preparation for Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel magic opening today. Then check these cast interviews with Noomi Rapace, talking about how she channeled Sigourney Weaver for the role, along with Michael Fassbender talking about playing a creepy android. Also feel this: here’s Damon Lindeloff talking with Ridley Scott on videotape and here’s him again talking about a Prometheus sequel to Heat Vision, which could very well happen as the film currently has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 74% (via Shocktillyoudrop, Next Movie, and THR)

And Lindelof just keeps on talkin: at the link he discusses the Batman DC Digital exclusive Batman comic he just made with artist, Jeff Lemire (via EW)

Hmmm… as it would turn out, a gentleman named Will Beall has been quietly scripting a Justice League movie since before The Avengers was even released, while Green Lantern screenwriter, Michael Goldberg, has been working equally quietly on a Wonder Woman script (via Variety)

Dredd (via IGN)

Here is a still of Karl Urban in the upcoming Dredd movie…

The Dark Knight Rises’ Christopher Nolan talked at length to Indiewire’s Playlist and mentioned, among other things, that the scale of this film has not been seen since the silent film days, in terms of the number of extras, which totaled 11,000 per day some days. Also of note, there will be no reference whatsoever to The Joker in The Dark Knight Rises. Advance tickets for IMAX screenings of the flick will go on sale on June 11th, btw  (via Indiewire and Deadline)

A fraternal directing duo called the “Russo Brothers” are in talks to helm the Captain America sequel. Their previous credits include Community and Arrested Development (via Deadline)

Here’s a new poster for the upcoming Arrow TV series. Comic Book Resources has a new clip from the series which briefly features a villain who appears to be the popular DC bad guy, Deathstroke (Image via /Film, CBR)

Speakin’ o’ clips, EW has a bunch of ’em from the Season 5 premiere of True Blood this Sunday while Deadline had the first still to surface from Iron Man 3 (via EW and Deadline)

And lastly, Deadline posted an interesting analysis and chat with The Walking Dead showrunner Glenn Mazzarra and Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd about how the show was able to post a gain in the ratings while undergoing a shift in showrunners (via Deadline)

Aaandd with that I’m out. Good night! I mean, er, good morning.. and have a nice weekend.
