STAR TREK: Resisting the KIDROBOT LOCUTUS PHUNNY PLUSH is futile

Space may be the final frontier, but it’s only a matter of time before the Borg assimilate it. No one knows that better than Captain Jean-Luc Picard, who was transformed into the entity Locutus in the third season finale of Star Trek: The Next Generation, “The Best of Both Worlds.” Now, Kidrobot is giving you the opportunity to bring the assimilated starship captain into your own home, thanks to the Locutus of Borg Phunny Plush, expected to ship in Q3 2022.

Locutus Phunny Plush

The Locutus of Borg plus sits at 7.5” tall. In addition to Locutus, Kidrobot is releasing a 13” tall light-up Borg Cube, which features green LED lights and a top that opens to provide a perfect location for Locutus to sit.

You can preorder the Locutus Phunny Plush for $16.99, the cube for $39.99, or both together for $49.99.

If you somehow manage to resist Locutus, Kidrobot has other Trek options for your perusal, including a non-assimilated Picard and characters from Star Trek: The Original Series like Spock and the Gorn captain from the episode “Arena.”

Plus, for the Star Trek: Lower Decks fans, be sure and check out the Badgey bendable plushes, which come in two versions: “good” and “always monitoring comms.”

An Adorable Wolf 359

If you do want to pick up your own Locutus Phunny Plush, you can preorder him now. However, if Kidrobot does eventually release a Sisko Phunny Plush, you’ll want to keep him well away from your Locutus.

Maybe Sisko forgave Picard for that whole thing offscreen.

Will you be preordering Locutus of Borg? Which is a more difficult wait: the time until your preorder arrives or the summer between “The Best of Both Worlds” and “The Best of Both Worlds, Part II”? Which Trek character do you hope gets the Phunny Plush treatment next, and why is it Garak?
