Stan Lee goes ape with Act-i-vate

As incredible as it is to believe, there is OTHER news today. Like a guest ACT-I-VATE strip called “Even Gorillas have Pride!” written by Stan Lee and drawn by Dean Haspiel for the PANELS FOR PRIMATES series.

PANELS FOR PRIMATES is a charity anthology of primate comics; past contributors include Fred Van Lente (Cowboys & Aliens), Mike Carey (The Unwritten), Rick Geary (Treasury of Victorian Murder series), Stuart Moore (Namor: The First Mutant), David Petersen (Mouse Guard), Colleen Coover (Gingerbread Girl), Faith Erin Hicks (Zombies Calling), Carla Speed McNeil (Finder), and Roger Stern (The Death and Life of Superman). More information on their charity activities here.

  1. Good call, Tim! Mike was an invaluable resource for me, particularly during the lead up to and the first few weeks of Panels for Primates. He was great at calmly vetoing some of my less inspired notions, like posting more than one story at once or calling the project Optimus Primate. I couldn’t have asked for a better or more patient guide into the world of ACT-I-VATE and the world of webcomics in general.
