TV Land has released a list of the top 100 TV Catch phrases, and while we think political speeches don’t quite qualify, it’s still a useful list, with several entries from nerd world, which we’ve helpfully highlighted in the below list. We note that “Hey, hey, hey!” is credited to both Dwayne from WHAT’S HAPPENING and Fat Albert…yes they were pronounced differently, but still…Anyway now that we have the list, let’s see how many we can use in conversation over the next week.   1. “You rang?” (#49) I associate more with Maynard G. Krebs on “Dobie Gillis.” The list definitely would have been better if the political stuff had been left out, but I would have left out the ad catchphrases as well to allow more stuff from actual shows.

  2. It’s been recently confirmed that Neil Armstrong actually said “one small step for *a* man …” I believe he always claimed that’s what he said, but they only confirmed this when they rediscovered the original recordings and cleaned them up.

    And, as Sean said, NO STAR WARS! WTF! “May the force be with you.” That should of least have made the list. “Luke. I am your father.” Another good candidate.

    Anyhoo…
