Marvel and Games Workshop have announced a new partnership to produce comics based Warhammer. The deal will include both comics and graphic novels telling tales within the worlds of the long-running tabletop game series.
Details on what’s to come from the partnership are still scant, but Marvel editor Mark Basso appears to be managing the forthcoming Warhammer titles. Basso has been with Marvel for over twelve years, and currently edits, among other things, the Conan and League of Legends lines, as well as the “Gamerverse” tie-in comics for the Playstation Spider-Man video game. Adding Warhammer to the mix seems like a natural fit for Basso.
This isn’t the first time that Warhammer stories will be presented in comics form. Titan Comics previously held the license, and produced a number of miniseries based on the game, the last of which came out at the tail-end of 2018.
The full announcement of the partnership is below. Keep an eye out for more details on Marvel’s Warhammer comics as they become available.
