Netflix is keeping the post-Anime Expo announcements rolling by releasing a new trailer and confirming an August premiere date for the long-awaited third season of the From Me to You: Kimi ni Todoke anime series. The trailer can be seen below.

Netflix also confirmed a global release date of August 1 for the new season alongside the confirmation of the opening theme featured in the new trailer, now being performed by Japanese singer imase entitled “et cetera”.

Netflix describes the new season:

Overwhelmed with her emotions, Sawako courageously confesses her feelings to Kazehaya, who reciprocates with his own heartfelt confession. As they embark on their relationship, they navigate the joy and embarrassment of young love, from their first date to the daily life of student romance. Amidst initial awkwardness, their love story unfolds gradually, paralleled by the blossoming relationships of their friends. This bittersweet tale of love and friendship explores the complexities of adolescent emotions, as each character learns to understand their unique feelings of love.

Netflix is also streaming the live-action adaptation it co-produced with TV Tokyo in 2022 under the shortened English title From Me To You. With the announcement of the third season premiere set for next month, fans of the manga will finally be able to see the blooming relationship between Sawako and Kazehaya in animated form.
