First Second reveals 14 covers for their Fall ’17 line

We’re all just wrapping our head around getting through Christmas, but ever efficient and forward looking First Second has  just announced its full Fall 2017 slate, with full cover reveals. Tillie Walden, Gene Yang, Cucumber Quest, Pele…it’s quite a season. Mighty Jack and the Goblin King
By Ben Hatke, Sept. 5

Rising star Hatke presents the second book in the Mighty Jack series…and a connection to his Zita series.

Castle in the Stars
By Alex Alice, Sept. 12

Alice is already a star in France; his Siegfried came out from Boom! a few years ago. More info.

By Tillie Walden, Sept. 12

So we really need to tell you more about Walden, the 20-year old comics phenom. This book is based on her teen years spent training as a figure skater and I’m sure it will make a big splash. More info.
