2019 has been an exceptional year for fans of the Daughter of Drakulon. Dynamite Comics released a series of merchandise and special comics to celebrate the character’s 50th anniversary. Now, fans can add Vampirella 50th Anniversary Artbook to their collectibles.
The brand-new hardcover volume features hundreds of covers and versions of Vampirella on oversized pages and picks up where Art of Vampirella: The Dynamite Years left off. The book also contains covers from the record-breaking Vampirella #1 from earlier this year as well as covers from the critically acclaimed 2014 run by Nancy Collins, the Linsners’ masterpiece Roses for the Dead, and more. Artists included in the book are Artgerm, J. Scott Campbell, Lucio Parrillo, Alex Ross, Jenny Frison, Terry Dodson, Joe Jusko, and many more.
“It’s always a pleasure to see so many talented artists, such as Fay Dalton, Jenny Frison and Ben Oliver come in with their contributions every month portraying our favorite vampiress,” said Cathleen Heard, Dynamite Art Director. “Many of these pieces are so impressive that we know fans will appreciate them compiled and presented in different ways to truly celebrate this anniversary. Our production and design team always strives to put together books that reflect the prestige of our characters and properties.”
The Vampirella 50th Anniversary Artbook will be released in February 2020. Fans can order their copy in December at their favorite local comic shop. Head to Dynamite’s website for more. For digital, check out Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus, and more.
