Zen Studios should be a name familiar to comic book fans. For years they’ve made video game pinball featuring iconic Marvel characters like Spider-Man, Wolverine, and the Avengers. On November 29, they’re getting set to bring one of their most popular tables to VR gaming. Based on the Telltale Games series based on Robert Kirman’s comic, The Walking Dead pinball is coming; steel balls, zombies, and all.

The VR version of The Walking Dead Pinball brings the complete experience of the beloved 2014 table into fully immersive virtual reality. Join Lee and Clementine in stunning VR as you experience choice-driven gameplay along with original story dialogue from the award-winning cast, in scenarios that include choosing who to save and who to leave behind in a walker attack, solving problems and keeping up morale within the group, searching for food and supplies, acquiring important tools, navigating through the herd amidst an oncoming walker breach, and of course, keeping Clementine safe. As the action unfolds, walkers bear down on you and you fight your way through all five of the table’s episodes to a thrillingly climactic wizard mode.

Additionally, the Pinball FX2 VR pack hits PlayStation VR in North America and HTC Vive on November 29 for $14.99. That game comes with tables like Mars, Secrets of the Deep, and Epic Quest. Just like previous pinball releases more content will be available to buy separately which is where Kirkman’s zombie apocalypse comes in. The Walking Dead pinball table will be available for Pinball FX2 VR on Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR for $6.99 on the same day.

Pinball wasn’t one of the things which first came to mind when thinking about VR gaming experiences. Playing other Zen tables in traditional gaming has proven fun again and again when it’s based on something you know, example; being their dozens of Marvel themed tables. VR could definitely augment the experience and can’t wait to see the studio do more VR content from Marvel and Star Wars.
