The much anticipated Wizard World Texas, the annual, family-friendly pop culture extravaganza, is returning for its fourth event at the Arlington Convention Center this weekend. Over 25,000 attendees are expected over the three-day event that will explore the worlds of comics, cards, toys, anime, manga, gaming, and more, and will offer attendees the opportunity to meet some of the biggest stars in comics, film and television.

Heading up this year’s guest list is Guest of Honor Marc Silvestri, acclaimed comic book artist (Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine) and Founder, Top Cow Productions, who will be signing autographs and appearing at the Top Cow booth throughout the weekend. Additionally, Mark Steven Johnson, director of Columbia Pictures’ upcoming major motion picture Ghost Rider will give fans a sneak peak at select scenes of the film and will provide inside scoop on in a special Q&A session.

This year’s show also features exhibits and presence by Spike TV, FUNimation Entertainment, Top Cow Productions, International Fight League, Activision and many more. Special guests include; actor Scott Porter (“Friday Night Lightsâ€?); actress Adrianne Palicki (“Friday Night Lightsâ€?); actress Erica Durance, (“Smallvilleâ€?); actor David Palffy (“Stargate SG-1â€?); actor Aaron Douglas (“Battlestar Galacticaâ€?); actress Mercedes McNab (“Buffy,â€? “Angelâ€?) and TNA Wrestlers Tracy, Gail Kim, Jeff Jarrett, The Naturals and Konnan.

Wizard World Texas 2006 also introduces the first ever Wizard World Film Festival, featuring original films submitted by entrants from around the country. Fans and attendees can stop by the Wizard World Texas Film Festival room to view and vote for their favorite film; the winning film will also be showcased at Wizard World Los Angeles in March.
