Today, The CW’s streaming network CW Seed debuted the first animated extension of their televised “Arrowverse” in Vixen, starring Megalyn Echikunwoke and featuring guest talent from the network’s lineup of superhero series (including Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin).
For those curious, you can now watch the full episode and get a look at the newest addition to this growing superhero line-up.
The Arrowverse, coined by fans in honor of the series that begat this shared small-screen universe of characters, currently includes: Arrow, The Flash, Vixen, the upcoming DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and thanks to the upcoming crossover, Constantine.
Currently, Supergirl and Gotham are not considered as part of the same universe. Currently.
In additional news, The Flash keeps adding to its lineup of speedsters at TVLine has reported that Violett Beane will be playing Jesse Quick, which the site describes as “a brilliant but quirky college student who gets caught up in the battle between The Flash and Season 2’s big bad, Zoom.”
It wasn’t too bad but the tone was a little off. I can definitely see this going somewhere and that opening was pretty cool.
