Valiant Entertainment has hired former JHU Comic Books manager Dani Ward, the publisher announced Monday. Ward has joined Valiant as a sales manager.

Valiant notes that in her new role Ward will work to further develop relationships between the publisher and the direct market retail partners that she used to count herself among. Ward’s new job will also involve leading promotional campaigns for new Valiant comics issues, story arcs, and titles. Basically, Valiant has tapped Ward to use her expertise in selling comic books to fans in the service of selling comic books to comic book shops.
