Calling it now, this is going to be the hot Christmas toy of 2018 that will be on the lists on nearly all children (and children at heart, like myself). Not wanting to let the Porgs show him up, everyone’s favorite wookiee is going pint sized with the upcoming FurReal Friends “Star Wars Ultimate Co-pilot Chewie.”
This 16-inch animatronic Chewbacca is an interactive doll that detects sounds and movements and reacts with appropriate motions and sounds including that trademark Wookiee roar. Why tell you, when video is worth a thousand words and then some. So Wookiees do snore after all! The Ultimate Co-pilot Chewie doll will be available $129.99 in the fall.
For those who aren’t interested in the small and cute, this next Hasbro Star Wars toy project will be of interest. HASLAB is Hasbro’s newest crowdfunding platform to bring products that fans have been clamoring for to life. As the saying goes, “go big or go home” and Hasbro is certainly going big for its first campaign- The Vintage Collection Jabba’s Sail Barge (The Khetanna). With length: 49.35″, width: 14.64″, and weight of 13.89 lbs, this promises to be the largest Hasbro Star Wars product EVER created.
Having reached more than 40% of its 5,000 backer goal, fans have only until 11:59 EST on April 3, 2018 for HASLAB to reach its goal! Did I mention a Hammerhead alien skeleton in the prison and baby Rancor trophy are part of the barge?
