The Flash is gearing up for its own version of Flashpoint next season, but they’ve just added their first new cast member in Tom Felton, best known to fans as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series.
Felton will play a new character named Julian Dorn, a fellow CSI at the Central City Police Department who suspects there’s more to Barry than meets the eye.
After the events of last season’s finale, all bets are off on just what kind of world we’ll see Barry arrive in after he returns from the past. Perhaps we’ll get a glimpse of Robert Queen as Green Arrow, paralleling how Thomas Wayne was Batman in the Flashpoint series. There are all kinds of fun possibilities, doubled down by the fact that Supergirl (with a new Superman in tow) will be joining in at the CW.
I sometimes felt The Flash‘s Season 2 was running on fumes in a somewhat interminable Zoom storyline, but I get the sense that Flashpoint is the story they’ve been wanting to tell for some time, and I look forward to finding out if Felton’s new character takes a part of that in some way.
