If you’re around NYC, here’s a great event that allows you to do three seasonal activities that feel nice: drink, draw and benefit the ACLU. It’s being held at Mary O’s which is a fine tavern with excellent fish ‘n’ chips, so get on down and draw and donate a little money to onwe of the few things that may protect us in the next four years.
More details on FB.
Come enjoy the holiday spirit at this year’s Drink & Draw NYC party on December 14! Along with the usual drinking and drawing that we always do, we’ll also be holding a raffle, with proceeds to benefit the American Civil Liberties Union (www.aclu.org)…and prizes to benefit you! Win a selection of art, prizes, and comics from your favorite artists and writers! Appearances by Paul Azaceta, Cliff Chiang, Frank Tieri, Khary Randolph, and more! We will also have two models on stage to draw from, the incredible Maika Sozo and Izzy Saeko! And, of course, cookies, treats, and drink specials.
The party kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at Mary O’s on 32 Avenue A, and is FREE, with a suggested donation of $10.
For those who can’t attend, the event will be followed by an online auction beginning on December 16.
