I’m not completely sure what The L-Word actress Mia Kirshner’s role in creating the book I LIVE HERE was … she’s alternately listed as co-author and co-producer, and if you ever wondered what sort of book needs a co-producer, the publisher has dubbed it a “print documentary.” Hmm. The book looks at humanitarian crises and features graphic novellas by Joe Sacco (excerpted above) and Phoebe Gloeckner. Kirshner will discuss the book at Harvard Book Store, and be introduced by Joshua Rubenstein of Amnesty International.

  1. If memory serves, NASCAR participated in Free Comic Book Day this year. The book was readable, and the backstory somewhat plausible.
Producer… I’m thinking she conceived the idea, contacted the creators, but someone else edited the book, since she would be busy with her day job.
