How fanatically devoted can you be to a TV show?

Has stalking production blogs become germane? Has booking international trips to stalk the show’s actors lost its luster? If your answer to the previous two questions was yes and you’re a Game of Thrones fan, then boy oh boy do we have a treat for you.

Right now, the Game of Thrones facebook page is hosting an interactive livestream where you literally. just. watch. ice. melt. They’ve set up an enormous frozen brick in the dark recesses of some vaguely European looking castle, lit on either side by small torches. Off-screen, there’s a much larger and more threatening flamethrower pointed at the ice block. Typing “fire” into the livestream chat will cause the flamethrower to activate for a small duration, melting a minuscule amount of ice before stopping and begging for more of your precious time on Earth.

What’s the prize for this variation on watching grass grow? Well, it’s the long-awaited premiere date of Game of Thrones season 7, of course.

Throw in your comment now so you can help end the suffering of all 112,000+ current livestream viewers.

Game of Thrones season 7 premieres 7/16/17.
