This piece kind of reminds me of something I once saw by Pinajian. Those of you familiar with Art Pinajian’s works as a comic book creator and illustrator may be interested to know he was also an abstract expressionist artist. Thousands of his paintings and sketches, maybe even some originals from his comics, were recently uncovered at his former residence. As it turns out he may become recognized as one of the most notable artists in his field. He created and illustrated comic books from the 1930’3 to the 19’50’s before devoting the next 50 years of his life to painting. His work is well worth checking out. Theres allot of pictures of his paintings as well as info about his comics at http://www.artpinajian.com for those who may be interested.
