The ever moving world of comic con rolls on and this weekend for fan on Long Island, it’s Eternal Con, also known as The Long Island Comic Con. After a few years in the funky, charming but cramped Museum of Aviation in Garden City, Eternal Con is making the move to the Nassau Coliseum, where it will run July 1 and 2.

Guests  include Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool 1 & 2), legendary TV icon Lee Meriwether (Batman ’66,Star TrekTime Tunnel), actors Paul Blake (Greedo in Star Wars), WWE and UFC Fighter CM Punk, Helen Slater (SupergirlLegend of Billie JeanSmallville), Maggie Geha (Poison Ivy in Gotham), WWE Hall of Famer and East Setauket native Mick Foley, former WWE and ECW Fighter Tommy Dreamer, and former WWE Diva Ashley Massaro.

For the comics crowd its Jim Shooter, Sean Chen (X-Men,Iron Man), Billy Tucci (ShiWonder Woman), Frank Tieri (WolverineIron Man), Nik Virella (All-New Wolverine, IDW’s G.I. Joe) and 100 others.

“For 2017, we are creating an exciting and fun event that is bigger than ever before for comic aficionados, superhero TV and movie fans, dedicated cosplayers, and the Long Island community,” said Eternal Con founder Frank Patz. “This year at the Coliseum, Eternal Con is going to be the event of the summer, and people will be talking about it for years to come.”

There will be cosplay, kids day, a tribute to Adam West and all the trappings, just for the Long Island set.

Note: I was originally set to be a guest at Eternal Con, but I have a family event to attend, so sadlyI won’t be there. It was a strong local show at the museum and I’m sure it will expand to the bigger venue smoothly. Let me know how it wen tin the comments!
