  1. I’m a bit baffled by all the drooling love for Obama. What exactly has he done? He certainly knows how to milk the celebrity cow, but what else? I think it takes more than dazzling speeches and looking good in a suit. Believe me, I want him to succeed, what could be better for this crumbling country? I hope all of Hollywood is right in cheering and fawning over “the great white hope,” but I still see unemployment skyrocketing, and how is Chrysler doing? Remember the movie “They Live,” where Rowdy Roddy Piper had the magical glasses, and was the only one who could see the evil invaders beneath their human disguises? I kind of feel like I’m the only one who has those glasses, and I’m a little scared at what I see.

  2. That puppy on the left looks like some weird E.T.

As for what the future holds for this administration, well, consider 1981. Then remember the Summer of 1984.

(The MRA/SRA is already law in the Marvel Universe, and cannot be vetoed. It can be repealed or rewritten (just like the USA PATRIOT act) or challenged in court.)

  3. For a start:

    1. Initiating the closure of Guantanamo Bay
    2. Setting a firm date to exit Iraq
    3. Pumping billions into American rail travel
    4. Ending the ban on stem cell research
    5. Ending raids on medical marijuana clubs

Lots more, but for the sake of brevity I’ll leave it at that. Life isn’t a John Carpenter movie.

  4. 1. Initiating the closure of Guantanamo Bay
–More like relocating it. The camp itself is closed, sure, but the prisoners aren’t and probably won’t be released.

    2. Setting a firm date to exit Iraq
–which happens to be the exact same date the previous administration had set before leaving office. And Obama plans to leave troops in Iraq indefinitely after officially pulling out.

    3. Pumping billions into American rail travel
    –no comment

    4. Ending the ban on stem cell research
–There was no such ban. There was a restriction on federal funding for such research, but nothing stopping private or state research into the issue.

    5. Ending raids on medical marijuana clubs
–Seems to be nothing but talk, since these raids are still happening and the Obama administration refuses to intervene in the Charlie Lynch case.

  5. forget about politics….seriously, if Bluewater is seriously gonna put out a book on the White House Dog! They’re out of their minds!!

  6. Heidi, I like your rationale for supporting Obama,…because he isn’t Bush. I think that was basically everyone’s reasoning for electing him, picking the lesser of two evils. That doesn’t say much about the leadership of our country, does it? Kind of pathetic… Let’s make more comics on him and his dog!! Yeah!!
